Architect Christopher Weirback

The Bistrot Abstract, located in Lyon, is a unique place that merges the charm of a traditional 1950s bistro with a touch of modernity. Created by Remy Savage, recognized as the best mixologist in Europe in 2018 and in the world in 2022, this neo-bistro offers an unprecedented culinary and taste experience.

The Bistrot Abstract – inspired by the painting “Nighthawks” (Edward Hopper)

The architecture and ambiance of the Bistrot Abstract are inspired by the spirit of American diners, reminiscent of the famous painting “Nighthawks” by Edward Hopper. This painting, made in 1942, depicts people sitting in a downtown diner late at night. It is considered Hopper’s most famous work and one of the most recognizable paintings in American art.
